Global dependence on oil, natural gas and coal, and the environmental damage these dependencies inflict, is well documented. But a transition away from these harmful fossil fuels and towards renewable energies is in progress and gathering momentum.

The energy transition is changing in the United Kingdom and Ireland, fuelled by spiralling prices for fossil fuels. These growing costs mean renewable energies are now becoming more and more important in terms of value for money – not just reduced environmental impact.
