Filed in Demonstrations, Teaching, Technology | Posted by Philip Chilton on 21st January 2025

GUNT’s HM 150.19 is a model of a Pelton turbine demonstrating the function of an impulse turbine. The experimental unit consists of the Pelton wheel, a needle nozzle used as distributor, a band brake for loading the turbine and a housing with a transparent front panel.
This is one of the many experiments that can be performed on GUNT’s highly versatile Digital HM 150 Series.
Digital features included with multiple hands-on experiments, via the GUNT Science Media Centre, are:
- Comprehensive videos of Fundamentals, Set-up, Running the experiment and Evaluation.
- Interactive LAB sheets
- Preprogrammed Excel evaluation sheets
- Flow visualisation using CFD simulation technology
- E-learning
